The images show the severe damage to the shopping centre.

There is noticeably more damage on the northeast corner of the building.

From videos posted online, it appears that this is the side of the building where a fire started, which ultimately spread across the shopping centre.

Damage can also be seen at the industrial site to the north. Part of a building’s roof is missing and some smaller structures are entirely destroyed.

This matches the location of the strike captured in CCTV footage released earlier today, showing that the missile landed just 50 metres from people relaxing in the park to the north at the time.

Ukraine's president claims that Russia purposefully attacked the shopping centre in Kremenchuk, releasing footage of the moment.

In his nightly address, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said: "Today, I want to end this address with one such piece of evidence - so that no one dares to deceive about the missile strike at the shopping mall in Kremenchuk.

"The Russian missile hit this very object, purposefully. Obviously, that was the order.

"It is obvious that Russian assassins received such coordinates for this missile.

"They wanted to kill as many people as possible in a peaceful city, in a regular shopping mall.

"And for this act of state terrorism, as for all others, Russia will be responsible.

"On the battlefield in Ukraine, by the strengthening of sanctions and, of course, in the tribunal."
